Our Shop - 48 The Victorian Arcade

Well, Readers, we finally did it! We opened the doors to our first physical brick and mortar shop in February this year!

You can now find us (and our books) at 48 The Victorian Arcade in Barnsley - which, incidentally, happens to be my hometown too! I'm super proud to be back in the place where my love of all things books and literature began.

Our shop is a quaint little building with character, situated on the historic Victorian Arcade. We've given it our best Cosy Vibes makeover and now it looks just like something out of a Christie novel.

Inside the shop we have shelves, tables and counters stacked with the best in new and second hand books from just £1.

Each shelf has its own genre, and each book is priced individually. You can always find a haphazard stack or pile of books in the most unlikely place, because what's a traditional bookshop without a little chaos? Oh, I'm always happy to give recommendations and have a bookish chat, too!

We've already amassed a huge flock of local readers to the shop, and we regularly have visitors from out of town too - some have even travelled to see us all the way from Shropshire, Newcastle and Lincoln!

We're at 48 The Victorian Arcade, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S70 2QN

We're open Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:00 and Saturday 9:30 - 15:00

There's parking available in the Courthouse Car Park (S70 2JW)

And we're just a couple of minutes walk from the train station and bus station too.
